Router does not have 8 Digit Pin Number

Our new laptop is not asking for my router's password. It will only accept an 8 digit pin code. My R7000 router does not have an 8 digit pin code. Does anyone know of a work-around? Thanks to all. TomNoseLittle

    system.)

       For what?  What, exactly, are you doing?

       Firmware version?  Connected to what?

       Says who?  "[it] does not have" and "I have not found" are spelled
    differently for a reason.  Where did you look?


       Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
    for Documentation.  Get the User Manual (at least).  Read.  Look for
    "Specify WPS Settings"?  Further reading might not hurt, either.
