Using 5GHz for client bridge then the 2.4Ghz cannot be used?

Using 5GHz for client bridge then the 2.4Ghz cannot be used?

Say I have a room I can't run ethernet cable to. I set up a R7000 as client bridge and connect to the main router via the 5Ghz. Then, I can't use 2.4Ghz for wireless devices in the room? (The wireless devices are too far to reach the main router.)

If that is the case, what is the solution Netgear suggests? Or will they eventually update firmware to allow 2.4Ghz to be used?

In bridge mode, the wireless is just used for the router===router communication. Only the ethernet ports are usable for other devices.

You're looking for a repeater/extender mode. Which some devices do have (not all) but without a model, its tough to know if you have that option.
