WAN subnet mask support

Hi. I'm considering buying a Nighthawk X4S AC2600 router to replace the default router provided by my ISP. What subnet configurations are supported on this router as my ISP says that the WAN port needs to support a 31 (255.255.255.254) subnet mask?

    any NETGEAR router should work with your /31 WAN subnet

      Great, thank you. 

       

      I couldn't find any mention of it in the user manual, is that a common feature in routers so it's not worth mentioning?
