netgear nighthawk r7000p wan speed slow

I have a Netgear Nighthawk R7000P and the WAN port seems to be fixed at 100 Megs in the settings. I recently upgraded my speeds through my ISP from 100 to 300 MEGS. I plugged my laptop directly to my ISP and I am getting the 300 Megs. when i connect the ISP to the WAN port and run a speed test I am only getting 100 MEGS. I have reset the Nighthawk several time and I still only get 100 MEGS. Please Help me get more speed out of this router.

    What Firmware version is currently loaded?
    What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

    What CAT# cable do you have between the ISP modem and router? CAT6 is recommended.

    Try changing the eternet cable. I've seen sketchy cables that'll connect at gigabit speeds on pc/laptops but only 10/100mbps on routers.
