AXE7300 Router with Nighthawk 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem
My current setup is the Nighthawk 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem with a Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 5 Router. This is providing about 560 - 590 mbps.
My internet provider upgraded me to 1000 mbps so I recently upgraded to a AXE7300 Router (with the same modem above) and am receiving the same mbps and it seems more inconsistent, i.e. my phone was registering significantly more mbps than my laptop.
I included links to the products below. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you.

Re: AXE7300 Router with Nighthawk 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem
What speeds do you see with a PC ethernet connected to the back of the modem with out any router in the middile?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
