RAX43 - is WPS LED always lit?

RAX43 - is WPS LED always lit?

Pretty easy one here - is the WPS light intended to always be lit regardless of whether WPS mode is active? I'd think light on = active, and light off = inactive but there is no way to manually turn it off. Ultimately I don't want WPS active on my new router. I'm not able to find any clarity in the user manual and unsure if this requires configuring the WPS client via the browser simply to disable the PIN.

Also looked through anything WPS related in the discussions already, didn't find anything specifically addressing this. Help is appreciated, thanks!

No. Only on pressing does WPS get activated and the LED starts to blink. If it does not flicker but is solid lit, it's in stand-by mode.

As I said, you need to press it to actually activate anything.

Yes, the WPS LED is always active. WPS requires to push the button physically on the router to establish a connection with the requesting device. There is no way to turn off the LED. Though you can turn off all LEDs (inc. WPS) except the power one.

I really appreciate your response. Just to clarify, WPS LED that is lit does NOT mean that the router is in WPS mode and that clients will still need to authenticate?

I think this is what you’re stating, just want to be sure. My next step was a factory reset, lol.

Thanks!
