I have a AX4300 WiFi Router, Model RAX45. https login doesn't seem to really be supported even though Web Services Management has a check box for "Always use HTTPS to access router." If this is checked I can attempt to login with https://192.168.1.1 and get in but my browser (edge) shows the url crossed out in red which is confusing. Is it possible to configure the router to require ethernet connection for admin login? I've seen this on other routers but can't seem to find the option on the RAX45.

That feature seems to have been added for the sake of people who get twitchy when they see that they can get into the browser graphical user interface (GUI) with http. They exist as if their lives depends on https, regardless of the fact that they are using a local connection.
As you have found, turning this on this breaks local access.
Turn it off and sanity returns.

The push to https is also partly down to the failure of browsers to recognise a local connection.
So you are torn between that the browser wants and what plays nicely on the router.
I have yet to see any reports here of any benefits from "Always use HTTPS to access router." Also no reports of the world coming to an end when you don't turn that on.
