Wifi 6 ax1800

Hello all. As an elderly person I'm not very clued up to all this technology. Basically I want to buy a new router but I need something that will take the same two leads that go into the back of my eero router.
Many thanks

What do you want this new router to do that you can't achieve with the eero router?

Is the idea to replace the eero? What model number is it.

What hardware do you have that connects you to the Internet?

I'd agree with @michaelkenward

why are you replacing the eero?

They're pretty solid and set and forget. I've set them up at a relatives because of their ease of use and performance

Re: Wifi 6 ax1800

Thank you both for replying. I've a nest thermostat and the eero doesn't stay in continuous touch with it so when u go to app in phone you can't turn heating on if away from home etc.
Contacted the nest engineer yesterday and he said the eero isn't compatible with nest thermostat and app.
Had no issues until I changed provider and they put eero in.
I've factory reset the nest and apps reinstalled but no joy.

That smells more like bovine poo than a reasoned answer. Tech people are adept at passing the buck and steering you away from their kit.

In any case, compatibility would work the other way round. They could claim that their thermostat and app aren't compatible with the erro, which is highly unlikely.

A bit more time debugging the thermostat and app could save you money.

This really isn't the best place to troubleshoot eero or Nest.

My first port of call would be eero support. They should be most upset if they found that Nest was bad mouthing their routers.

You'd need to explain what actually happens rather than just "no joy".

Contacted eero today. There gonna look into it. So fingers crossed they will get results. Basically the nest app keeps disconnecting and shows offline, stays connected for 5 mins and disconnects again. Hopefully they will sort it.
