Extending RS700S with RS300
I have a RS700S. The product works great, easy and straight forward to setup. However, I still have 1-2 spots in my house that is not exactly hitting the Wifi 6/Wifi 6E performance I would like to have and would definitely have even poorer performance on Wifi 7. I am thinking of purchasing the cheaper version, RS300 to extend the range of my RS700S. However, due to the location, it is almost impossible to link up both routers via ethernet cable and I want to setup the RS300 in AP mode. I did not see any news about Netgear implementing a mesh system (even though Netgear did mention it is coming) so I want to find out if this is possible? Anybody has any thoughts on this before I splash the cash?
Thanks 🙂

Re: Extending RS700S with RS300
they did mention on release of the RS700 but they didn't say if it'd be specific to that device, for all the RS devices, or if they'd be interoperable. And that was a year ago. I wouldn't hold my breath.
Are these 1-2 locations needing "the fastest" speeds that a RS series would provide? Or just coverage for devices to be used?
A used EAX80 can be picked up pretty reasonable 2nd hand and provide quite a bit of speed for additional coverage. Or even a EX8000 with its dedicated backhaul. With proper setup, they should hit in excess of 300-400mbps. (I've hit that with them). Again, that speed is very dependent on your home/setup/speeds but with 4k streaming only needing 25-40mbps, it should provide quite a bit of coverage enhancement.
