Single device extender for IoT network, SXR80 with 1 SXS80 satellite
I got this system, because it's the only one available that will mesh network multiple SSIDs.
I have the system in a brick building, that strongly attenuates the signal levels. I have outdoor cameras on the 2.4 GHz IoT network that are marginal.
Will a standard 2,4 GHz extender work for these devices?
I'm thinking about connecting something like an EX2700 to the IoT network, and using a separate SSID to connect to the cameras.

EX2700 is not supported as an extender for the Orbi network. It doesn't have an option or feature to recognize this type of extender. You may only add satellites to your Orbi.

Thank you for your response. I'm not sure if you understood my question?
I know the EX2700 will not extend the mesh network, and that only a SXS80 can.
I am trying to get a single Ring Spotlight Camera to work, and don't care about other network signal levels outside the garage
I loose ~20% RSSI though the garage wall, with the garage door closed.
I'm looking for a $100 solution, not a $400 solution.
I am looking to:
1. Connect the EX2700 as a device on the 2.4GHz "IoT" network, inside my garage
2. Have the EX2700 create a separate 2.4GHz network, with a separate SSID "IoT2"
3. Connect my camera to the IoT2 network, that will have a usable RSSI signal level.
The only other alternative I see is to hardwire a powerline unit to the SXR80 and add a PLW 1000 in the garage.
