CBR750 now not working with Xfinity

I'm currently facing persistent internet connection issues with my ORBI CBR750 router, and I'm seeking some guidance or advice from the Netgear community.

To provide some context, I find myself having to restart my ORBI CBR750 router every 24 hours. The primary reason for this constant restarting is that my internet connection frequently drops or slows down to an unbearable speed of under 1Mb. I've taken the necessary steps to resolve this issue, including having an Xfinity technician inspect the lines and verify the signal quality of the modem. Fortunately, the technician confirmed that the signal strength is optimal, and the modem itself is functioning properly.

Despite these troubleshooting efforts, the problem persists. Whenever I reset the ORBI router, the internet connection is restored within approximately 10 minutes. However, frustratingly enough, the issues resurface within 24 hours.

Additional information about my setup:

  • Firmware Version: V4.6.14.4_2.3.12

Re: CBR750 now not working with Xfinity

Your logs are indicating line issues from the isp.

Start with removing any amplifiers, signal attenuators, or splitters from the coax.
From there check the line for kinks, damage, moisture in the line.
Check the connectors for improperly made ends, foil touching the copper coax line, loose connections, bad/old/cheap connectors, or corroded connections. Replace them if you do.
If you can, simply connect the modem right where the coax comes into the home. This prevents wiring in the home from being the issue. And some ISP’s charge if the wiring issue is in the home. So this helps prevent this.

Re: CBR750 now not working with Xfinity

What Speed Tier package do you pay for UP and Down from the ISP?

Also power is a bit on the high side:

https://kb.netgear.com/24311/Power-level-guidelines-for-a-NETGEAR-cable-modem-router

Might ask the ISP to lower the power a bit.

Any Criticials, Errors or Warnings seen in the Event log should be reviewed and resolved by the ISP.
