Impossible to disable 5ghz band? Trying to connect Nest Connect and Nest X Yale Lock
I have just purchased a Nest Connect and Nest x Yale Lock and, unfortunately, most of the process has been extremely painful. For one, I have read in several places that the Nest Connect doesn't "work" with devices that are on the 5ghz band. Many others have reported having to disable their 5ghz band for this to work, which is extremely weird to me because I can communicate with both devices (my phone and the Nest Connect) by pinging them in a terminal.
That being said, I am trying to figure out if it is possible for me to disable 5ghz on the RBR850 model. I've read that some people have had to do this in the past via Telnet, but apparently Telnet is not running on my model.
Does anyone here have a Nest Connect along with the lock and have set this up properly using this specific Orbi model? It''s quite mind-blowing that I can't disable 5ghz -- hitting the checkbox does nothing and the devices that were previously connected to 5ghz remain connected, even after a router reboot.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

This video does not mention which brand of WiFi it is, but selecting the WiFi SSID appears to be pretty ordinary.
