Hi thinking of purchasing this router and satellite from the USA will this work okay in the United Kingdom with just the changes to the power supplies any advice would be appreciated thank you

  • Should work if you find the right power supplys to use for the UK region.

I recommend buying from some place that has a good refund policy.

In addition to the power supply, if purchased in the US the router will be set to match US FCC regulations for channels rather than UK/EU regulations.  See page 137 of the User Manual:

On the original Orbi, it was a bit of a challenge to change the Region Code.  Someone who has an 850 can probably comment on whether this is a simple pull-down menu (or not).

On the 2.4G band, UK/EU allows channels 12-12 which are not allowed in the US.

On the 5G band, the difference lies in the allowed backhaul channels. (The user facing channels are the same).

Of course, having a rogue WiFi system may not be all that serious in the UK.
