Orbi 750 no internet

Got a orbi 750 that will not connect to the internet.  I power cycle it and even reset it with no success.  Add my isp manually to the configuration with no success either. Went to connection status and click release and renew with no IP showing up. I tested with my old router netgear nighthawk and that one works perfectly fine when plugging it into my standalone cable modem.  This eliminate that it is not my ISP, ethernet cord and modem that is having the issue. 

Why is my orbi 750 not getting any internet connection?  I check the log and it has no history log except last year.

You have restarted the ISP modem, right?  Seems that many modems will not connect to a new router without a restart.  Of course, that would be a simple fix and lucky if that's all it is.  Before you do that, make sure your Orbi Internet Setup configuration looks like your Nighthawk Internet Setup configuration - defaults should work for most ISPs:

Then power the modem and the Orbi off, connect them, power on the modem and once it is up and whatever lights it has settle down, power on the Orbi.  All that should have been done when setting up the Orbi, but worth checking again.

Correct. I have restarted both the modem and router. I tried both settings, as default on your picture and also entering the isp info with no success. It was working for quite a while now until this morning. So I'm not sure what changed or happened.

So, it is working, just won't get a WAN connection from your modem.  But your Nighthawk does.  Doesn't sound good.  Long shot things to try:

- try another port on the back of the Orbi (are there any lights on your modem ethernet ports to indicate a connection? I know the Orbi has none)

- maybe change the MAC address to something custom on that Orbi Internet Setup Page in case the ISP has somehow locked out the Orbi.  I have never tried this though and have no idea of the consequences.  If it doesn't work and you cannot reconnect, you may have to reset the Orbi.

- or call your ISP and see if they have any idea or take a look at the modem to see if there are any logs it creates that might give you some idea of what is happening.

- could be a defective Orbi but seems like if that were the case it would be much more dead.
