Orbi 960 - Slow WIFI over Satellite
WiFi and Ethernet connection to Satellite of Orbi 960 is extremely slow.
I have 2.5g xfinity internet, Orbi main router is getting 2k-2.3k Mbps down directly connected to the modem.
Satellite is connected wirelessly to router, ~25 feet away and one floor down.
If I go downstairs and stand ~10 feet away from the main router I receive 800-900 Mbps over wifi on cell phone.
If Satellite is plugged in, and I'm standing right next to it I get ~130 Mbps down via wifi on cell phone. PC connected to Satellite via 3 foot Cat 6a ethernet is getting ~120-130 Mbps down.
The strange part is, if I unplug the satellite, and stand in the same exact spot as before I get ~450 Mbps over wifi on cell phone and ~450 Mbps over wifi on the PC.
I've already tried:
- Factory Reset
- Setting "Auto" channel and 48 on 5Ghz band
- Setting manual channels 1, 6, 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 - 48 on 5Ghz
- 20/40 MHz Coexistence off
- Different Preamble modes for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz
I haven't done anything with Transmit power control, unsure if that'd help here.
Router FW is v7.2.6.31

Also, in case you need to know, satellite connection light is Blue (good connection).

What happens if you move the satellite to a different location and try it?
It wouldn't be the first time something in the walls was blocking a satellite or causing issues.

Good idea,
I just tried 3 different areas.
1. Bedroom slightly further from router ~30 feet, still upstairs
- Satellite unplugged, ~450 Mbps down
- Satellite plugged in, blue light, ~140 Mbps down
2. Upstairs hallway, ~20 feet from router
- Satellite unplugged, ~600 Mbps down
- Satellite plugged in, blue light, ~130-140 Mbps down
3. Bedroom directly above router location, ~10 feet
- Satellite unplugged, ~860 Mbps down
- Satellite plugged in, blue light, ~130-140 Mbps down
