Orbi RBR850 - Access Control returns "500 Internal Server Error" using Chrome, Safari, and Edge

Good evening all.I recently Factory Reset my RBR850 after spending days troubleshooting a problem setting up some Homekit plug adapters that stopped working and sI still cannot get to complete setup.... but that is not the problem.

After the factory reset, I went about an exhaustuve process of identifying, labeling, and classifying 75 devices (many IoT sensors an switches) in rthe Netgear Orbi Router table that I accessed connecting to the router by IP address on my MacBook using the current Chrome browser.  About halfway through that process, Netgear released the new Firmware version V4.6.7.13_2.1.9.

I updated the RBR850 and the two RBS850 Satellites that I have to this new firmware and continued the process I had started.

I finally finished identifying, labeling, and classifying ALL of the devices and moved on to my next step, which was to be enabling Access Control and reserving IP addresses for registered devices.

When I click on "Access Control", the browser shows me the pinwheel for 15-20 seconds then returns a "500 Internal Server Error" message (included here).  Two times I received "503 Service Not Available" errors.

- I tried accessing the settings through Several browsers on several machines and all were most recent builds:

   * MacBook Pro, macOS Monterey, Chrome, Safari

   * Dell Laptop,Windows 11, Chrome, Edge

   * Apple iPhone, IOS (current), 12 Pro Max, Safari

   * Apple iPad Pro 2019, IOS (Current), Safari

- Rebooted the RBR850 4 times

- Deleted Cache

- Closed and restarted browsers

- Restarted machines

Please tell me I don't have to lose all of my work.

Please tell me there is a fix, or

Please tell me this is a known issue with thie Firmware build and Netgear will be releasing an update soon (as in normal people soon, meaning in days to a week).

Thank you all!

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last update?

  • SOLUTION!

Saw another article on the boards on an RBR40. It suggested manually re-applying the most recent firmware.
    Done! It Worked!

If you pursue this method, please be sure that you are re-applying the same firmware version that you are currently running or a newer version.
If you apply a newer version, and you have satellites, be sure to upgrade your satellites as well.
