Tracking/logging orbi satellite connection outages
I have an Orbi AX6000 kit (RBK852, for some reason, this model isn't available in the model dropdown) and the connection to my satellite keeps dropping randomly. The only way I can tell is because I h...

I'm not sure what else I could connect directly to the satellite to test if it's the satellite or not. Maybe another camera that has it's own power source. I'll have to do some digging.
At 2 seconds, missing 90 in a row comes to three minutes of no response. The satellite itself appears to be responding, but devices 'wired' to the satellite have these gaps. Would be useful to know if the cameras experience the lack of response at the same time.
It is getting rare for consumers to have devices with Ethernet ports, which complicates troubleshooting this sort of thing. Does this PoE switch have an IP address?
There have been some posts on the forum regarding 850-series satellite problems. As I do not have an 850, I confess to not paying a lot of attention to the specifics. It might be worth some time skimming the AX forum to see if any posts seem to relate to your situation.
It also might be useful to manually update the firmware to the most recent version on the support web site:

Ah wait. I just thought I didn't recognize the version number in the link you provided, and I double checked and I downloaded and updated to 4.6.7.13 last week, but 4.6.8.2 was just released.....yesterday it looks like? And my router and satellite are both at 4.6.8.2, so it looks like my auto-update issue is fixed. Maybe this latest update will fix my issue, but I don't have high hopes as I was still seeing pings not being responded to last night.

Just an update, but I've been running that ping tool for almost a week now after updating to the latest firmware and I think that greatly improved things. The router/satellite only had 5 failed pings which I would think is well within acceptable range. The camera I was pinging had about 60 failed pings all at once (so that was about 30 seconds), but that was only at one time, so I think the issue was the old firmware as things are MUCH more stable (I would like to have the camera down to the same amount of failed pings as the satellite (5) but maybe there will be a future firmware improvement in the future).
I just wanted to report back and say that I think this issue can be put to bed and to say thanks for all the tips and tools that got me to stop pulling out my hair (there's not much left)!
TTFN.

Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
