Add Feature to prevent OpenDNS bypass
Hi All
I have read the discussions to date about preventing people from bypassing DNS. I have also tried one of the suggestions to use:
Advanced -> Security - Block Services
Service Type = DNS
(https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi/Preventing-circumvention-of-OpenDNS/m-p/1300593#M8190)
Which totally kills all DNS lookups...
Netgear need to include a checkbox in the Parental Controls section to allow the admin of the orbi to choose if they want to prevent dns bypass or not. By default this feature should be checked (and a recommended tag included) as soon as you choose to use Parental Controls.
Can this please be looked at as a matter of importance because at this point in time the Netgear orbi is insecure and needs this security issue remediated asap.
Thx.
