This does indeed appear to be based on (identical to?) the last private beta V1.12.0.16 and has been released to the public. Hope it helps!
Guest mode AP isolation finally works 100% over IPv4 and IPv6 - much happiness in my household. 😃

Re: V1.12.0.18 is out
I'm wondering what gonna change for people with already problem free Orbi setups. Hope it won't make it worse 🙂
We have three different generations iOS devices and no disconnects. Well, we'll see soon enough 🙂

Re: V1.12.0.18 is out
Still good news. Had multiple Skype calls and walked around to force multiple switches from router to satellite, not one dropped call.

Support helped correct my FW update error... I did a manual update for the SAT to get the information from the upate page to match.

Re: V1.12.0.18 is out
I hope this is the fix needed. I'm and going to end my eBay auction early on my Orbi and give it one last shot. This is the first time I have seen support email a firmware and post it to the message boards with such confidence.

Re: V1.12.0.18 is out
I can't wait to load this after I get home from work. I would have been pissed if I sold my Orbi on eBay and missed an opportunity to test the firmware out.

Re: V1.12.0.18 is out
I have not turned on implicit beamforming yet as I thought that was only needed for older devices and the default beamforming was better. I do have MU-MIMO turned on. All is still working perfectly.
Now if only I could purchase a satellite.

Re: V1.12.0.18 is out
Has anyone tried this new firmware with the Orbi in AP mode? If so did you disable the wireless on your router and let the Orbi handle the wireless connections in AP mode?

Re: V1.12.0.18 is out
Yes, indeed, late last night, we pushed out OrbiOS 1.12.0.18 in response to reports of wireless disconnects, including those with Nestcam / Dropcam, Macbook Pro that have been affecting some users. Over the last few weeks, we’ve taken concrete steps to investigate & address them, including running a comprehensive beta program. Over the next few days, your Orbi will automatically download this firmware and upgrade itself. If you want to manually upgrade, feel free to perform a manual upgrade through orbilogin.net).
We’d like to thank our beta users and Community for helping us through this, and those of you running the beta release (1.11.0.8 or earlier versions of 1.12) should upgrade to this new release.
In addition, in this release, for those customers who have an Orbi with a USB port (RBK50 or RBK53), we’re enabling the USB ports for uses like attaching a printer. This has been a widely requested feature request from the community and we’re happy to deliver.

Re: V1.12.0.18 is out
So it appears that the ability to disable either 2.4GHz or 5GHz has been removed even though it was already available. In my situation, the 5GHz band outperforms the 2.4GHz everywhere on my property so I disabled the 2.4GHz band. It was causing my devices to be "stuck" on 2.4 channels half the time due to the forced band steering. Even with this new update I am getting the same behavior. This is quite upsetting as now I have to connect and disconnect several times before my devices are on 5GHz. I have tried waiting, and it does not switch correctly 50% of the time. By all means, keep both bands enabled by default. But give back the option to disable them in the advanced settings.

Re: V1.12.0.18 is out
1.12.0.18 is as solid as 1.12.0.16 for me, and my problems with the 1.11.x versions remain fixed for me. No disconnects, all sats showing in the web UI, 90+ devices. Nice work Netgear!
