Install Orbi via VPN Router

Modem is modem only. Varies lan cables lead to access points in other rooms. Do you know if I can configure a VPM (exprees, astrill etc) directly onto the Orbi?
Some Orbis have there own VPN services. If you don't use it, I presume you can use exernal VPN routers behind the Orbi router. I would use the DMZ on the orbi router to help avoid connection issues with the VPN configuration. Having two routers on the same line causes a double NAT condition. DMZ can help here.
