IoT isolation

Am looking for seperating all my IoT devices both wired and wireless into a seperate network yet allowing my mobile phone and certain laptop to connect. I've a total of 66 devices including IoT, laptops, NAS...

Currently i've all IoT devices on Guest Wifi network. However to avoid wifi issues, i've wired some devices like camera, smartthings...

I've Orbi RBR50 router setup with a zyxel simple managed switch which can create vlans. I can buy any new products that can support above reqs. Appreciate any suggestions.

  • Putting the wifi IoT devices on the guest network is already separating them from your home LAN.

One idea mentioned here for putting wired devices on the guest network is to buy a simple low cost range extender that has an ethernet port, pair that range extender to the Orbi guest network, and use the ethernet port on the range extender (with switches, as necessary) for wired devices.
