'No internet connection' while trying o set up orbi mesh wifi

I currently had an xfinity modem/wifi router. I had it removed from service and had them add he new netgear Nighthawk CM1200 modem that i purchased to my service. Comcast sent a signal to the nettgear modem and confirmed it was working on their end.

I plugged my desktop into the modem and i do have internet. I downloaded the ORBI app and followed the instructions for set up. The last screen i can get to on the app says: ORBI Network detected, Cables connected, checking internet connection, no internet connection. It wants to try again or do an advance setup. I have retried several times but still having the same problem. IMG_1383.PNG

Is it a new Orbi install? or were you using it before with the xfinity modem?

 

Try resetting the Orbi router (using the steps here  https://kb.netgear.com/31486/How-do-I-reset-my-Orbi-system-to-factory-default-settings ) and proceeding from scratch.

Be sure to power OFF the CM1200 modem for 30 seconds then back ON then check the internet status on the RBR. 

Be sure your using a a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended. 

Be sure LAG is disabled on the CM modems web page.
