Orbi RBR50 Issues with work/office VPN
I am having some issues with my Orbi RBR50 Mesh System with one RBS50 connected.
Up until about a week ago I could connect to my office VPN through the Mesh system. However for some reason I cannot connect through my Orbi any more. If I try hotspotting my latpop to mobile phone or using the Virgin Media Router as a router (as opposed to modem in the current set up) then the VPN works fine. My office IT hav checked my laptop and say it is the Mesh Router which is blocking the VPN. I've tried the reboot of the whole mesh network, updated firmware to the latest verision on the router and the satellite, and have tried enabling the VPN setting on the routhe iteself, but nothing works.
Has anyone else had a similar issue and any solutions would be appreaciated.

Re: Orbi RBR50 Issues with work/office VPN
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
Is the modem in modem only modem when you have the Orbi connected?
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle(SPC), Traffic Meter.
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch. Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.
I would power OFF the ISP modem for 1 minute. Factory reset the Orbi router and power it off. Power ON the ISP modem and let it sync. Then power ON the Orbi router and walk thru the setup wizard again using a wired PC and a web browser.
Press the back reset button for 15 seconds then release.

Did anything change about a week ago?
The Orbi has no idea what users are actually doing when their devices make internet connections apart from:
- Resolve a URL into an IP address. If something interferes with the DNS process, there cannot be a connection.
Such as Armor, Parental Controls, or the specific DNS server being used no longer resolving that URL. - Do Network Address Translation (NAT) and forward the connection request to the internet. The Orbi has no idea what is inside an of the data packets. Might be encrypted web access. Might be VPN. Might be anything.
Does the company VPN client create a connection log file that might explain where in the process it fails?
