I'm experiencing significantly slow internet speeds from the Orbi RBR50 Satelite despite the ORBI app speed test confirming the statelite is providing excellent download speed which contrary to the speed measured at the desk top which is measuring 8mbs or less download. I don't know why this has suddenly happened. The only recent change is I plugged my desktop via ethernet into the satelite. The same slow speeds occur with wirless connections also. I've checked for updates and powered on/off the unit without success.

The Orbi app speed test is displaying a report from the Orbi router, not the satellite. Netgear has installed a version of the popular SpeedTest app as part of the Orbi router firmware. When the app Internet Speed icon is selected and then "Test My Speed", the app runs on the router and then transmits the results to the app, which displays them (and a history of recent tests).
SpeedTest run on actual user devices is "what matters" and it is common to observe a difference between the speed reported by the Orbi router and the speed reported by user devices.
Hello again, I have tested the satellite, as per your suggestions without luck. It appears to be an inherant problem with the ethernet ports. The fault only occurs if the satellite ether net port/s are used. The problem began when I tried running my desktop PC off of the satellite and soon after the satellite started to bug with slow to no internet. I've only owned my Orbi RBR50 router and RBS50 satellite for two years and never had a problem. I'd be super grateful if you had any suggestions to fix.. Thanks in advance
