RBR50 Orbi Wireless Stopped working but LAN connected devices are fine

All of a sudden, devices connected to my Wireless LAN are not able to connect through to the internet however LAN Connected devices are fine.

I've tried a reboot, changing the security on my SSID but still nothing.

I've seen another post about the satellite but it's not the answer.  Please help.

Guest WL also not passing through to the internet.

Latest Firmware available installed according to the device V2.7.4.24

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

How many RBS are deployed?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and ‌‌ satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR‌‌ and RBS‌‌️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.

I would power OFF the ISP modem for 1 minute. Factory reset the Orbi router and power it off. Power ON the ISP modem and let it sync. Then power ON the Orbi router and walk thru the setup wizard again using a wired PC and a web browser.
Press the back reset button for 15 seconds then release.

Re: RBR50 Orbi Wireless Stopped working but LAN connected devices are fine

Thanks for the reply.  I'll download the latest firmware and install it and possibly run through the reset process etc.

Orbi was working fine with the satellite (only got one) and as LAN Connectivity is working I'm not sure why the ONT possibly the issue but I'm happy to learn why.

Here's some additional information on the issue.  On my iphone there is a setting for a private wifi address... when I turned this off I was able to browse the web.

This morning things started to work again only for some devices.  My last change to the router was I blocked a wireless device which was yesterday, just before the issues began.  That device was blocked and I couldn't not get it to connect so I shut it down but this morning it was ok and browsing, then my other devices (not all) started to connect via WIFI.

Thanks again.

Re: RBR50 Orbi Wireless Stopped working but LAN connected devices are fine

Thanks Furrye38,

I upgraded the router firmware and reset (erase option) the router back to factory defaults but it still remembered all the settings. Power cycled everything once that was done and reran the setup but not from the orbi mobile app.  Didn't work right away but eventually (20 mins or so) things were all connected back up including my Sonos speakers which had a spaz.  I recommend having a PC connected and using a browser.

Tip don't forget to store all your ISP settings before you reset 🙂

Thanks again.
