WPA Key limitations ORBI wifi router
Is the number of active simultaneously connected devices connected to an Orbi router limited by the number of WPA keys it can support? Are the 50 streaming devices assumed to be streaming with encrypted links? Is the 50 limit per Orbi unit? Where are the device limits documented?
Thank you,
Chris

What documentation have you seen that suggests there's a limit associated with keys?

Re: WPA Key limitations ORBI wifi router
I have run into this with other routers. I wanted to understand if Orbi had the same limitation or not. Other routers have a simultaneous key limitations

Re: WPA Key limitations ORBI wifi router
there is no limitation of the wpa as such
there is a physical limitation of how many wireless clients a single transmission will run effectively , with wireless AC thats about 30 to 40 per transmission , seeing as the orbi is ay least 2 transmissions that double that and with a second ap thats triple that
the issue is effective use and over 30 to 40 per transmission the shared bandwidth becomes so minimal its not worth it and the clients suffer
this is not just an orbi thing but general wifi principals
just so you understand
