I am a little surprised that my new Orbi does not appear to support DynDNS.org . I am certain that previous Netgear routers I have owned supported this.
Am I mistaken? The drop-down for the setup mentions only Netgear, No-IP.com, and Dyn.com ...
Dyndns.org redirects to dyn.com, yes. But if I select dyn.com in the Orbi dynamic DNS drop downs, my credentials do not seem to be accepted. If I fill in the form and click Apply, then click Show Status, the Orbi responds with an empty web page having this message:
Authentication failed. User name or password is not correct.
I have carefully cut and pasted my account and password into the Orbi setup form three times now, and feel it is unlikely that I have made a user error.
Got some information from NG, There saying this is a DynDNS issue and you'll need to contact them about this. Seem that configuration in FW is correct, however services on there side maybe down or not working properly. Please make contact with that DNS provider to get there help and information regarding this. Seems to be something they need to handle.
