Orbi & ATT Uverse arris modem router

Hello, all.  I have done lots of digging on the ATT forums and Netgear and can't seemto find a fix for my exact problem and hope someone out there can help.  I have a Orbi RBR20, satellite, and arris bgw210-700.  I just switched to ATT Uverse and am not able to access my Orbi router via its IP address.  It was assigned a different address by the arris router that won't let me view/access the router like I did before.  ATT had me change some settings on Arris, but I did nothing ( like AP mode) on the Orbi.  Settings that were changed on the Arris were IP passthru and disabled wifi.  So all I want to do is use the Arris as a internet gateway to ATT's fiber and have my Orbi manage my Wifi.  With the Arris wifi disabled, that is happening right now, but if I have issues with the Orbi, I can't get into any of its settings, etc.  Please, what additional changes do I need to do to each device to accomplish this?  Thanks in advance!!

BTW, I do not have a the ATT TV and DVR.  Seems many posting I see have this as an additional complication.

Re: Orbi & ATT Uverse arris modem router

Arris/Pace 5268AC Bridge Mode equivalent

(for customer supplied router - regular U-verse service w/o static IP/block)

This gives your Orbi router a WAN address that bypasses the ATT router and allows you to use the Orbi in "router" mode.  You will want to keep the wireless radios of the ATT device turned off.

Caveat: ipsec (site-to-site VPN) will not work. AT&T blocks it, requires upgrade to business class service.

1) Access your AT&T provided device at http://192.168.1.254.
(Can’t access? May be your router’s LAN address is already 192.168.1.0/24, if so change it first)
2) Go to Settings -> LAN -> LAN IP Address Allocation
3) On the device list, locate your router by verifying it’s IP address against WAN address on the router.
4) Change the settings as follows
--Firewall: Disabled
--Address Assignment: Public (Select WAN IP Mapping)
--WAN IP Mapping: Router WAN IP Address (default)
5) Click save, you should get a configuration successful message, and Device Status should change to DHCP renewal.
6) On your router, do a DHCP renewal or unplug/replug cable to the AT&T device.
7) Your router should now have a public IP address. You can still access AT&T device at http://192.168.1.254

Re: Orbi & ATT Uverse arris modem router

This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
