Satellites and wall plug in
I would like to know if it’s possible to connect 3 satellites and also add a wall plug-in to my router, I’ve heard that only 3 satellites per router are allowed.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Re: Satellites and wall plug in
Users on this forum have reported up to six satellites on one Orbi system. If my memory is correct, I believe the technique is to power off an existing satellite, add the new one, and then power up the existing satellite. Now, "there are four!" To add a fifth, power down two, add one, power up those two. Now, "there are five!"
I have not done this myself. Alas, my palatial home is "overserved' with one RBR50 and one RBS50.

Re: Satellites and wall plug in
I have the AC2200 Orbi Router and satellite installed, want to add an additional satellite...when I added the 2nd..my wifi speed slowed down to near nothing....without the additional satellite, my wifi speed is d/load 225 and upload is @ 11. What could cause the downgrade in speed with additional satellite?
Thanks

Re: Satellites and wall plug in
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
FW versions same across RBR and RBSs?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).
What was the reason for adding a 2nd RBS?
