Netgear Powerline 1000
I've recently installed power line 1000 adaptors. I'm having issues with wired Ethernet devices dropping out intermittently when the adaptors are switched on. My Synology NAS and TV for example. Has anyone came up with a workaround? Thanks.

Re: Netgear Powerline 1000
I usually find standby mode is the culprit in these types of situations.
This is difficult to turn off in Netgear Genie, as Genie will often crash when trying to access the options for these units.
Sadly the Netgear Powerline Utility doesn't recognise them either, but thankfully Zyxel's does!
Go to their support site and download their utility for PLA5405 units. Utility version 7.0.2.14.0611 works; I currently have it installed and have used it with my adapters. Once you have started the application go to 'Advanced' (third tab) and then you can select each powerline unit and disable standby mode (select and press 'save')
Hope this helps
