M4300-96X Stacking over 40GB

Hello-

I have 2 M4300-96X switches both running 12.0.9.4 firmare and I am trying to stack both of them together over the 40GB fiber link.

I can successfuly stack them over Cat6a, but every time I try to stack them with the 40GB link, the ports show Stacked, but Down.

When the fiber ports are configured as Ethernet, the lights on the 40GB fiber indicator flash, but as soon as the 40GB port is configured as a stack port and then rebooted, the Fiber activity lights go off and the Stack link for the Selected 40GB ports (5/5, 5/6, 5/7, and 5/8)  show down.

I've been on tech supprt for 3 hours and no one can figure it out.

Can the world help me??

Re: M4300-96X Stacking over 40GB

Thank for your message and sorry for your issue. As I understand it, your 40G ports work in Ethernet mode but not in Stack mode. It may be related to the fiber modules in use which aren't supported in Stack mode. The tech support file out of one your 96X switch will help us understand the exact cause of your issue. I have escalated your post and the NETGEAR team is going to be back to you shortly. We shall fix your issue!

Laurent; thank you for the reply.

I have the APM-402XL Modules in each switch using Cisco QSFP-40G-CSR4 SFP's.

The case number is 42333781.

Thank for you the prompt reply!
