ReadyCloud Client mac

I have been using my readynas as an 'internal' file server.  I would now like to now use cloud services .  I installed readyCloud (version 1.6) on a clean macbook air ( new install of high siera 10.13.6). I am able to connect to the cloud and my device is displayed.  However when I click on any share, the machine switches to the finder but does not open the share (i.e. no new window is opened).  The same occures on another machine running mojave 10.14.2 beta.  Am I using readyCloud improperly ?   What should I be doing ?
