Re: DVBLink TV Server 4.5.2 (from dvblogic)
I'm enjoying DVBLink on my Pro 6 so far. Has many rough edges and the EPG, for those not in Europe, is a big gap right now. I'm using ZAP2XML to get EPG for now, and am using ATSC and HDHomeRun for capture.
Another big feature gap for their NAS ports is transcoding. All you get now are TS format files, and for HD content they're HUGE. I've had some success playing them via PLEX, as long as I don't do it on my Samsung TV.

We are also here to help if needed.
The EPG data availability is indeed a big gap now. However we are actively pursuing several possibilities and the solution should be available soon.

Like btaroli I would also like to hear about the transcoding problem, will there be a solution?
I'm using Boxee Box and VLC player on my Mac. Both units have big problems when I try to fast forward. Lots of artifacts and stuttering.
Another problem is if I want to convert the TS files. The files are so huge, that they are difficult to edit in any converter software.

Re: DVBLink TV Server 4.5.3 (from dvblogic)
I am based in the UK. I have a Netgear ReadyNAS Pro 6 with a USB PCTV Systems DVB-T2 290e nanoStick HD TV Tuner, with an aerial connected to the Tuner.
I have installed DVBLink v4.5.3 Server on my ReadyNAS and activated the DVBLink Server on my ReadyNAS
When I click on the DVBLink Icon in Frontview it takes me to the DVBLink Configuration - Products page
My installed Products are
DVBLink Server (Free)
DVBLink EPG Loader for DigiGuide (I have purchased a licence for this)
DVBLink TV Source (I have purchased a licence for this)
Upon pressing the Source Tab it shows my Sources as
TVSource PCTV290e
DigiGuide
XMLTV
I then press + to add a TV Source for the 290e
I have named my source - FVTV
I'm then taken to the TVSource Configuration - Settings
My Device Type is Terrestrial (DVB-T/T2)
I then click on TV Providers and then Click on + Add
This brings up the Provider DVB-T Hungary.
I click on edit to change this Provider
I change it to DVB-T UK-Divis
I then add DVB-T UK-Wenvoe (Cardiff)
I then Click on Signal
This brings up a list of 6 Transponders for DVB-T UK-Divis
I select the Transponder at the top of the list and click on Tune
This shows a Signal Strength of 82% and a Signal Quality of 100%
I assume the next step is to go to Scan and so I press the Scan Tab
It scans the Transponder list and the first 2 transponders have a message ' Tuning Failed'
It then comes up with an error message 'Error getting transponder list:timeout'
I then try to Scan for DVB-T UK-Wenvoe (Cardiff)
All I get is a message box saying 'Please wait...'
I have sent an email to DVBLogic and posted this thread on their Forum but so far have not received a response. The assistance ReadyNas users get from other ReadyNas users via this Forum is Fantastic, but unfortunately this is not true of other Forum sites.
Any suggestions please with my DVBLink problem.

DVBLink TV Server 4.5.2 (from dvblogic)
I did finally get this Add On to work but with no assistance from the developer.
I sent numerous requests for assistance via the forum and an email direct to the company but did not receive any response. If you are considering going down this route you should be aware that the software is very much in the early stages of development and that you are unlikely to receive any assistance from the developer.

Re: DVBLink TV Server 4.5.2 (from dvblogic)
Hi Singularity. I have been following your progress, well lack of. I am in trial period and did not really get it working until I installed 4.5.3 build 8339. The build number was important as it was a bit flaky on the build before that. I am running it on a Ultra 6 plus. I am unable to watch a channel but can record. I also tried the raspberry pi running xmbc as the client. I got sound but no picture.

Re: DVBLink TV Server 4.5.2 (from dvblogic)
It may be that the transponder settings for your local transmitter are wrong in DVBLink. If you know what frequencies your chosen transmitter(s) use, you can select those frequencies only using the UK "All Frequencies" list. Selected frequencies in the scan area should be dark grey if memory serves.
CTRL+Click to select multiple frequencies.
