how can I hide folders users don't have permissions to?
I believe I have readycloud working right but an issue I have is that the users can see all the folders whether they have access to or not. I'd like to hope there is a setting to hide folders not shared. At least with readynas remote I can filter by local user rights but then I have to make both work (readycloud on phone doesn't have option to upload and remote doesn't follow readycloud shared rights).
I'd hope in future that I can upload and download via cloud [on phone and pc] and link cloud to local account [and easy disable permissions without complete user delete.]

- Hey fyi I found the hide folder option but hiding a folder hides it not just from users with no access.... It removes it from the list if available folders for all!!!
is there anyway just to hide from specific users once they are logged in with their credentials. There's no reason for user x to see user y's folder if they don't have rights to it. It makes it harder for x to find its folders.
thanks. - I have experienced the exact same issue. Does not make sense for users to see folders they have no access to. This is a security issue!
- I don't think this will still be updated due to ReadyNAS Remote being replaced by ReadyCloud with has more security feature(?). Hopefully netgear finds a way to make it work with non-OS6 units.
- The hiding of folders is a feature of the SMB protocol. It's not specific to cloud features.
