Readynas Ultra 6 Network issues??

The NAS devices are connected to a smart ups.
The switch is managed , not smart.
However I could monitor the trafic (i think).
At the moment the problem NAS is still running and surprisingly fast.

I don't see how a configuration can run withoud any problems for 15 years and then all the sudden starts giving problems.
BTW, I am using different IP adresses for filesharing and accessing applications that run on the NAS.

Something clearly has gone wrong, and losing connectivity with both NIC LEDs showing activity is a signal that it could be network related. As Sandshark says, it could also be a failing PSU on the old Ultra. Or maybe something else.
If nothing has recently changed on your network or the NAS, then from my perspective it makes sense to troubleshoot from scratch, and not focus on how long things have been running correctly.
The different IP addresses do determine what NIC your clients use for inbound traffic to the NAS. However, when the two NICs are on the same subnet, the return traffic to those clients can be sent on either NIC (and often is). There is no way I know of to force the return traffic to use the same NIC that the inbound connection used. And the variability in the return traffic path does sometimes cause network problems.
You could see if swapping the drives results in the behavior changing. If your IP addresses are assigned statically in the NAS itself, then the IP addresses will move with the disks. If they are reserved in your router, then they will stay with the NAS physical connections.
If the problem stays with the Ultra, then that would point towards a failing PSU or perhaps other failing hardware in the chassis. It could also be a problem with the switch ports the NAS is connected to (assuming you didn't change them when you moved the disks).
If the problem moves to the other NAS, then that rules out the chassis, but does not rule out a disk-related issue, something wrong on the OS partition, or a network issue. It could also be a problem with the switch ports (if you did change them when you moved the disks).

Given you have a smart switch, looking at the port statistics may help in figuring out the issue.
