forked-daapd flac endian issues for iTunes on MacOSX

Upgraded to RN104 running OS 6.1.4. Running iTunes server (forked-daapd). I've been trying to listen to my music files on my MacBookAir running iTunes 11.1.2 (after installing Mavericks). I transferred files from NV+. Apple Lossless files (.m4a) play fine but FLAC files are just a high-pitched screech which I recognise as an 'endian' issue. forked-daapd is outputting the bits in the wrong order. (mt-daapd on NV+ streamed FLAC files correctly.)

Does anyone have a fix for this? Or do I need to do a complete re-compile of forked-daapd with correct options for iTunes on MacOSX?

Thx
