If you're facing an issue where your device connects to Wi-Fi but doesn't have internet access, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem:
Check Wi-Fi Signal: Ensure that your device is within the range of the Wi-Fi network and that the signal strength is sufficient. Move closer to the router if needed.
Restart Router and Modem: Turn off your router and modem, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn them back on. This can refresh the connection and resolve any temporary issues.
Verify Wi-Fi Password: Double-check that you are entering the correct Wi-Fi password. Sometimes, an incorrect password can prevent internet access.
Restart Device: Restart your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) to refresh the network settings and establish a new connection with the Wi-Fi network.
Forget and Reconnect to Wi-Fi: On your device, go to the Wi-Fi settings, find the network you're connected to, and select "Forget" or "Remove." Then, reconnect to the Wi-Fi network by entering the password again.
Disable/Enable Wi-Fi: Turn off the Wi-Fi on your device, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This can help reestablish the connection.
Update Router Firmware: Check if there is a firmware update available for your router. Visit the manufacturer's website for instructions on how to update the firmware. Updated firmware can often improve compatibility and fix connectivity issues.
Check for IP Address Conflict: If multiple devices on the network have the same IP address, it can cause connectivity problems. Ensure that each device connected to the network has a unique IP address.
Contact Your Internet Service Provider (ISP): If none of the above steps work, there might be an issue with your internet service. Contact your ISP's customer support and explain the problem you are facing. They will be able to assist you further and troubleshoot the issue from their end.
