How to dispose of WNDR 4500 router

Question

I have a WNDR4500 N900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router.&nbsp; I have replaced it with new equipment and I am trying to figure out how to dispose of it.&nbsp; I can take it to an e-waste recycling center, but does the router have personal information about my network or password on it?&nbsp; If so, is there a way to remove this data from it?&nbsp; Thanks in advance.

Yes.
Press the reset button for 10 seconds then then release. Let the router process it for 30 seconds, then power off.&nbsp;
