Firmware Version: V1.0.0.42
Router has Internet LED red and everything works fine. The online PDF manual only documents Internet LED green and off, but not red.
Could you please tell me what the red LED means?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

It usually indicates an issue between the modem and the router. It could be a wire issue, a modem, issue, or potentially even a router issue.
that's why I'd start with the cable.
also in AP setup: RAXE500->EAX80
1.4gig download/50mbps upload from Xfinity

Have you tried changing the ethernet cable between router and modem?

No, everything works fine with the supplied ethernet cable. From time to time the Internet LED turns red, rebooting the router and modem makes the LED turn green again.
Again, what is the meaning of the red Internet LED?

Re: NETGEAR Model R6080 Internet LED is Red? (Not described in manual)
I presently have no spare cable to swap out for the supplied cable. I do not think that it is the cable since when the Internet LED was red I still had full internet access. Also, I did not touch the cable when I cycled the power strip power switch to reboot the router and modem. So, for now, I will consider the situation resolved (presently the Internet LED is green).
Thanks for your help.
