Please help - I'm unable to connect to my work VPN with Netgear router.
I have the Netgear N600 router modem combo that had been working fine for the last two years. I wfh and have to use VPN (Cisco Anyconnect) to work. One random day I woke up and just couldn't connect to cisco. I called comcast and they instructed me to call netgear, which netgear then told me to pay 139.99 for 12 months of tech support.
I do need to connect to VPN because of my work though, I have been using iphone hotspot to connect to cisco for work but it's very slow and makes my phone hot.
Ideally I don't want to buy a new set because everything works fine when I don't need to connect to vpn for work, but if I have to I prefer something cheap that does the bare minimum since I don't watch tv or play games (my internet speed is 100mbps). I also don't want to buy netgear ever again even if they are the cheapest option.
Can someone please give me some advice? It has been very frustrating. Thank you!

Re: Please help - I'm unable to connect to my work VPN with Netgear router.
1. what router do you have? N600 is a speed
2. A N600 device is a pretty old router and pretty low performing. Even if we get it fixed, might be time to upgrade to something from the current generation of products
3. What firmware is on it?
4. what modem/gateway is the router connected to?
5. Does it make a difference if the pc is hardwired in or wireless?
6. have you contacted cisco to see if any settings are needed to be changed on the router for the vpn.
