Unable to change the default password on Switch

I am on mac osX 10.13.6
I cannot change the password on the switch GS308E
I paste the new password in
After clicking Apply
nothing happens
Note to Netgear: I can't beleive the default password is "password", should be the serial number of the machine. We need stuff to be secure out of the box.

WOW, I just found the solution to the issue.
When pasting, there is a Javascript that does NOT get activated. Unless a key is TYPED in.
Pasting the password, adding a space and deleting the space triggers the JS...
Then "Apply" works.
To be fixed in front end code to allow pasting.
