A6210 wifi usb adapter cannot seem to detect/connect to 5 ghz channels in the 100+ range

For some reason my A6210 cannot seem to detect or connect to channels in the 100+ range. Our router supports channels 36-64 and 100-165. If i set the router to any of the 100+ channels, the A6210 will not be able to find the network even though i can see it in acrylic wi-fi. Sometimes i will be able to see it, but when i try connecting to it, windows just tells me that it cannot connect to it but offers no explanation as to why.

Does the A6210 not support channels in the 100+ channel range or something? Im already using the latest stand alone drivers.
