Netgear Genie software update not completing

I have the Netgear Genie AC1200 WiFi USB Adapter - current software 1.0.0.36.  I did a check for a software update and was informed Software version 1.0.0.39 is available.  I have made several attempts to download this software; however, each time the update gets to 95%, then returns to 70%.  It is not completing.  Please advise.

    May I please ask for the following information: 

    - Were you able to install WiFi Adapter using driver version 1.0.0.36? 

    - If so, do you have connectivity issue? 

    - Screenshot where it shows a new software update is available

     

    I checked A6100 product support page, the latest driver version is 1.0.0.36.

  • Hey, I haf exactly the same problem. Got a notice in the Netgear Genie saying there was new software, I click it and it starts downloading, then a pop up came up saying I should click OK to download it and when I did that it failed to download further.

    However, while trying to get screenshots for this post and thus waiting a bit before clicking OK, instead of doing it instantly like the other times I had tried, it actually completed the download and I was able to install without problems.

    Seems weird if waiting a bit before clicking OK would be the solution, but it worked for me, and if nothing else I'd try a few more times.
