New adapter attempting to authenticate

I bought this adapater today, went through the steps to install it and after I put in the password for my network it gets stuck on attempting to authenticate (yes it's the correct password). I've tried uninstalling the driver/software and reinstalling to no avail. Windows troubleshoot tells me nothing but there is a problem with network adapter which isn't very helpful. Any direction on how to solve this would be appreciated.

    Authenticate where? In Windows networking? Do you get some sport of error message?
