wn111v2 won't install on Win7 64 bit
Tried to install a new (NOS) wn111v2 on our plain vanilla Win7 64 bit HPz8000 system., Won't complete the install. Downloaded newest software from NG site but when partially installed, it won't recognize the adapter.
Please advise. Thanks!

Re: wn111v2 won't install on Win7 64 bit
tried it on 2nd computer (32 bit this time) - same non-functional. Installs but the opening data input screen comes up for a second or so and disappears.
Useless product.
Anyone know how to make it work on win 7???

Hi @georgebeker,
Check the device manager if the adapter is being detected. When you plug the adapter, can you see a light lit up on the device?

Re: wn111v2 won't install on Win7 64 bit
Dear JamesGL,
Thanks for your reply.
We have deleted the online Netgear software (3.1 or 3.2?) as well as the MS redistribute file. We then plugged in the Netgear adapter. It flashes blue (and continues to do so as long as it is plugged in) and an "Unknown Device" shows up in the "Other Devices" list in device manager. It has an exclamation point on it. If we open it and look for a driver online it says there is no driver for the device.
I did this on the 32-bit machine a few minutes ago, and I believe the same situation exists on our 64-bit workstation. Both machines are running Win7 and the OS it is completely (and regularly) updated.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts. This so far remains a dissapointment.

Re: wn111v2 won't install on Win7 64 bit
Hi @georgebeker,
When doing manual update of the driver, can you select the other option instead of searching online? Also please try to disable antivirus or firewall when installing the adapter.
