DUO torrent manager security password protect
Hi,
I'm totally new on my RND2000, not a week old, so I'm still just playing around with it, but quite happy sofar.
So, I can manage the torrent manager from outside my home network and it seems to work flawlessly!
I only opened port 8080 on my router and directed it to the NAS, so (I hope) the rest of my home network and NAS is protected.
BUT, I'd like to shield off the torrent manager as well with a password, so that 'the world' can't dump my NAS full off stuff I don't want and potentially do other more harmful things. I'd expect that to be possible on the NAS, I haven't seen any option on my router.
Might be easy, but I don't know how to do that.
thanks
Patrick

- hauardAspirantI would also be interested in this, although this should have been a standard setting!
- bbaraniecLuminaryI think only solution is to protect your webpage with httaccess password: http://www.elated.com/articles/password ... -htaccess/
- hauardAspirantAlso: Is there a way to change the BT interface port, instead of the standard 8080? Some routers (Prestige 660HW) uses 8080 for remote management.
This router doesn't even give me the possibiltiy to change the port when the it handles the conncetion (eg. WAN-connections on 5000 gets forwarded to LAN-port 8080).
