Juddering Video Playback
Does anyone know why the video playback from the NAS (on my laptop) is juddery ??
The format is avi.
I am also trying to work out what is the best format to store videos on the NAS. In order for them to be viewed via xbox 360, DNLA on a Samsung TV and also on iPad.
Cheers,
Chris

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserJudder has lots of causes, knowing the format is not nearly enough information.
Does it judder If you copy the file to your PC, and play it the same way? - Kojak1Aspirant

Its a Readynas Duo V2, via a BT Homehub.
Video works lovely on my laptop (still have the original file) but judders from NAS.
Cant play it via xbox or tv, as neither seem to support the file format. - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserAre you using wifi to connect to the NAS?
You might use mediainfo (www.videohelp.com/tools/mediainfo) to tell you the bitrate. It will also tell you the codec information.
