Many Duplicates for shared resource shown on player devices
I store copies of the DVDs that I own my NAS in the Media folder. On some playing devices, I see many copies of the same file. When I look at the folder on my Mac or Windows machines, I only find one copy of the file. If I delete from the Media folder, the player shows one less copy but all the other icons for the file are still there. If I click on play when I've deleted the file, the player tries to play all the versions of the file it sees, then plays the next video in alphabetical series. If I add back the file to the ReadyNAS media folder, I just get one more file icon in the folder.
This strange icon duplication problem is driving me crazy. I hope someone has had this same problem and knows how to fix it!
Go into the web ui (system->settings->services). Select ReadyDLNA, and click the Rescan button. After the Rescan completes, the duplicates should disappear.

Are these devices using DLNA?
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I think the duplicates show up on DLNA devices. I am using a LG Blueray Network Player, BPM35. Are these duplicates some kind of cache from the player? Can you get rid of them?
