Yes. NVX Pioneer is discontinued while the Ultra 4 is not. NVX Pioneer is 32-bit versus Ultra 4 64-bit. Unless you can get the NVX Pioneer at a significantly lower price than the Ultra 4 avoid it. You may also wish to consider the Ultra 4 Plus and the Pro 4 which have a dual-core Atom CPU.

Correct. Best to get new drives from the compatibility list and transfer your data across your network and keep the NV to backup your new main NAS.
