RN10200 - Create max capacity with 2 disks
Hi, I have purchased a RN102 unit. With the unit we added two 4tb hard-drives.
Under the volume tab I see that both hard-drives are identified with 3.6 tb each. Total available space is 3,6 tb.
The default RAID setting is set to XRAID, so this setting will mirror the 1:st hard-drive.
But if I don't want any redundancy and what to opt for maximum capacity, so I can claim 8tb (I understand it wont be exactly that) How do I proceed to achieve this?
Thanks

You need to disable XRAID. There are endless threads about such and here's one...

Re: RN10200 - Create max capacity with 2 disks
I suggest 2 volumes (jbod), and not one spanned volume (RAID-0). RAID-0 is more fragile (you lose everything when either one of the disks fail)
